I have listed myself as an artist at Sellaband.com.

Due to my burning desire for my music I have decided to get myself listed on Sellaband.com and guess what …. I’ve get to share my music with more artists and fans.

What is SellaBand …. you might wonder?

Each artist that gets listed will have to put up 3 of their original songs to the site. As normal you will have to create your profile …bla ..bla …bla… (kinda having fun doing it).

Anyway, the target for the artist is to get fans around the world to invest in the him/her. Selling 1 part of the artist is equivalent to US$10. For the contributors (also known as as believers or fans), by buying a part of the artist entitles him or her to get a CD of the artist’s recording and a share of the profits as well. For the artist, the road to get into recording is $50K; which means if that artist/musician can get 5000 fans  to support him with $10 each ….. that money will be used to finance his/her professional recording. The money will be used to finance the the recording package, the producer of the recording and an A&R personal whom will polish the musician’s direction and sound in order to get that recording to be as same standards with those on a major label.

I remember back then, when doing a demo with my band ….. we wren’t exposed to this metronome thing.

It actually had a bad impact on our recording and for me personally as a guitarist and songwriter.
Why is it so important?
It keeps you in tempo with your music creation.

I know it firsthand cause I was either going too fast or too slow on certain parts and that seriously affect the songs that I’ve recorded. Since then, when I’m doing composition now ….. I used the online metronome to keep it in tempo with what I write.

Usually pro musicians will get this tiny equipment of the shelves but with the age of technology … there is now an online metronome which you can use for free; all you need is a PC and an internet connection.

The online metronome helps and I urge musicians (especially the new ones) to use this tool cause it’s priceless in your songwriting experience.

As for the continuation of this series, one of my favourite songs in the Roadrunner United album is “In The Fire” by King Diamond who teamed up with Matt Heafy, Corey Beaulieu (both from Trivium), Mike D’ Antonio (Killswitch Engage) and Dave Chavarri (Ill Nino) is featured in this next video ahead.

Check it out ….. it also showcase Joey Jordison from Slipknot not only as a drummer, but a guitarist and bassist as well. Mike Smith from Suffocation is simply blasting ….. dudes.

Back then, when I was a kid …. I always considered Roadrunner as a “SACRED” label with great lineup such as Machine Head, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Deicide, King Diamond, Type O Negative, Coal Chamber among others.

Things are getting better when they signed Slipknot (one of my faves) and Cradle Of Filth on Roadrunner …. it’s just pure-ass metal away dudes.

Now I getting back to listening to some raw, kick-ass metal with bands such as Trivium, DragonForce, Opeth, Killswitch Engage, Within Temptation and many more from the best METAL label in the entire planet.

It took me a while (actually a long one - 3 years to be exact ) to check out the Roadrunner United cd and to tell you frankly, I’m not dissapointed at all. The Roadrunner Concert will be out soon so check it out at the official site.

The making of this record will simply blow your mind dudes.

Rideon … Rock Forever ……

Bands like Stompin Ground, Four Sides, Swirling Madness and Silent Sorrow were one of the most talked bands in underground hardcore music scene.

I can’t stop noticing some of my friends too are into the hardcore scene as well ….. main influences coming from bands like Gorilla Biscuits, Fugazi and Rollins Band.

For me, hardcore is a music of expression …. actually I was one of those fans as well (I was heavily into Fugazi) and the lyrics are powerful and positive.

Anyway it is one great scene for me and I like to bring you back in history and show you what I mean …..

With the new lineup complete, fronted by W.Axl Rose, Guns N Roses is still rockin’ bro.

The long awaited Guns N Roses new album will be released in one weeks time.

Chinese Democracy, the much delayed output, has been in a lot of news lately. Dubbed the new GNR, founding member Axl Rose is kinda the sole member since the “Appetite” days, followed by keyboardist Dizzy Reed ( the other member since the Illusion days).

The band is made up of guitarists Robin Finck (Nine Inch Nails), Ron Thal aka Bumblefoot, Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman.

Talk about a big lineup ….. ;D .

Meet Daniel Rodriguez.

He won the Guitar Center Drum Off competition back in 2006 and check out his age ….. he was only 22 back then.

I wish I had a drummer this good .. I mean talk about the drum rolls and dynamics beats that he put on  ….. it is simply amazing.

Check out his performance, sit back and enjoy the next, new and upcoming drummer in the years to come ……….

I mean record companies should be taking this dude and a sessionist ….. he’s got what it takes.

Well that is the question that I ask myself recently with more and more rock bands are indeed shredding the music industry and that is what the fans want …… heavy and furious music to mangle their brains ( I am one of them ).

It is exciting to see that more bands are getting to the edge with shread guitar riffs, headbanging tunes that makes you wanna be in the MOSH Pit.

I’ve recently decided to explore new tunes and one act that is COOL, in my opinion is Children Of Bodom. I’ll talk more about that band later on but it seems that the heavier it is …… the more following it gets.

Rock acts in the alternative scene are dying out quite fast these days (Nickelback excluded), and more and more are just thrashing their way in the music business.

Speaking about the music business, it has gone downward spiral to say the least. Rap acts are controlling the market with bitches and boobs all across the MTV and radio play and I feel it’s thumbs down to that.

Being a grunge and alternative dude, I still prefer music to be as heavy as it can be and technicality in guitar riff just edge the songwriting masterpiece.

The new ROBOT guitar is one of the major breakthrough in guitar invention history - using mechanics to auto-tune your guitars.

I, for one, will normally have lots of problems tuning my SG and this new range of ROBOT guitars by Gibson will surely help lots of musicians out there especially for begineers.
